Tom uses his engineering education now to repair and restore furniture in the back of Serendipity.  He can perform a complete restoration, removing old finishes and applying new, make missing parts, do a less expensive "detail" of your piece, or simply re-glue a loose connection.  He also does other antique related tasks, like re-wiring lamps.  Just drop in or give him a call to discuss your project ... that's free.  He can pick up your project in his cargo van, and deliver and set up the finished product.

Ron has many specialties, having taught cabinetmaking in High School, College, and Adult Education.  In his retirement, he spends much of his day in a 1,500 square feet basement work shop, that would impress master carpenter Norm Abrams.  Ron made much of the furniture in his home; bookcases, end and coffee tables, storage cabinets, .. , and has been a lead carpenter with Habitat For Humanity's, when building one of their homes.  His wood turning expertise on the lathe can be your source for spindles, finials, chair legs, and the like, that you cherish, and need to restore.  He can also design and produce a piece of furniture for you from scratch .. Do you have your grandparents steamer trunk in the attic, and wish it looked like new so you could bring it down to the family room or bedroom?  They make great storage, blankets in the family room or bedding in a bedroom.  Bob and Ardyce can make your trunk look like new.  Replace leather straps or hinges, replace broken or missing wheels, finish the wood and paint the metal, whatever you like.  Just give them a call, or even email them with your questions.  If you can send them a picture and describe what you'd like done, all the better. 

If you just want to get rid of your trunk, but would like it to live on in someone else's life, give them a call.  They may make you an attractive offer, and you'll be recycling your heirloom.  We try to encourage everyone to be green.

If you want to buy a trunk, but haven't found one that is ready for your home, give them a call.  They usually have some ready to go.  During the summer you might find some of their trunks at The Depot Antique Gallery, in Bouckville, about an hour East of Syracuse on Route 20.
